Our Trip - Day 2

The Arrival

We woke up early in the morning on Friday, August 3 and had breakfast at the Howey Bay Inn. We made it to Viking Outposts at 6:45, weighed our gear and settled up. We were allowed 750 lbs. in total, and came in at 737 lbs.

The trip to Lake Rheaume was incredible. Rich sat in the co-pilot's chair (HE FELL ASLEEP!!!) and the rest of the anglers sat in the back. The flight took approximately one hour, and we arrived around 8:15 AM. We settled into the camp, and made it out on the lake by 9:30 AM. What a beautiful lake!

We spent the day on Lake Rheaume. The weather was gorgeous. Troy, Uncle Raym & Bob fished in one boat, and Rich & Vern fished in the other. Troy caught the first pike of the trip.

Vern caught the first walleye of the trip.

On the first day of fishing, the following fish were caught:

  • Bob - 8 pike, 1 walleye
  • Uncle Raym - 7 pike
  • Troy - 4 pike
  • Rich - 2 pike
  • Vern - 1 walleye.
For dinner, the anglers had Brats, Burgers & Dawgs, with onions and green peppers, and herb roasted potatoes.
