2008 Trip - Saturday

Uncle Ray woke up extremely sore from the fall the night before, and he opted to hang around the cabin for the day. He was joined by John, and the two went for a nice hike around the cabin. The fishermen had Danish and sweet rolls from Toby’s Restaurant (yummy).

After breakfast, Troy and Gary traveled to East Rheaume to do some walleye fishing. After a slow start on East Rheaume, Troy and Gary found a “honey hole” and they caught over thirty walleye (at the same spot), with several walleye over 21”. The fishermen also caught six pike.

Later that afternoon, John and Ray traveled over to East Rheaume to meet up with Troy and Gary. After a relaxing afternoon, the fisherman traveled back to the cabin.

After Gary showed us how to properly filet the fish, we had baked and breaded walleye, and some Lentils that John made (yummy). After dinner, the fishermen played poker and drank booze.
